Coal Fork is an unincorporated census-designated place located in Kanawha County, West Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,350.

The racial makeup of the community is 98.67% White, 0.30% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. 0.67% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
