The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Jindai Botanical Garden in Chofu is a popular public park.
Chōfu (調布市; -shi) is a city located in Tokyo, Japan.
Chofu is home to Chofu Airport.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 210,428 and the density of 9,773.71 persons per km². The total area is 21.53 km². Chofu has significance to American expatriates because it is home to the American School in Japan, a K-12 institution attended by many American and international children. There is the park and memorial hall of novelist Mushanokōji Saneatsu. He used to live in Chofu.
Tokyo Stadium (commonly known as Ajinomoto Stadium) in Chofu hosts soccer games for two J. League teams: F.C. Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy 1969.
The city was founded on April 1, 1955.
