The Banco de México (Spanish: "Bank of Mexico"), abbreviated BdeM or Banxico, is Mexico's central bank. Guillermo Ortiz has been the governor of the bank since 1998

- July 1931 : Ley Monetaria
- 1935: silver crisis (important increase of the silver price)
- February 7, 2003 : it increased the short from 5550 million pesos a day to 625 million pesos
