Anglo-Celtic

Anglo-Celtic is a racial or cultural category, used to describe the majority of the Caucasian population of Australia.
It is a broader term than Anglo-Saxon, which strictly speaking applies only to people of English descent. The Anglo-Celtic group specifically includes people of predominantly Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, Channel Islands and Manx backgrounds, as well as other British ethnic minorities. A large number of Anglo-Celtic Australians, perhaps a majority, are descended from more than one of these groups.
The term is generally used by Australians to describe Australians, but is also applicable to people in other countries with large numbers or people of British and Irish descent.
