The American University in Dubai, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a university in the Persian Gulf.
It is made up of a School of Business (offering an MBA), a School of Engineering, a Dept. of Information Technology, a Dept. of Visual Communication, a Dept. of Interior Design, a Division of Liberal Arts, and a Center for English Proficiency. The University enrolls both international and domestic students.
Accreditation
The American University in Dubai is the first American-accredited University in the Gulf.
The American University in Dubai is a branch campus of American InterContinental University, Atlanta, Georgia. American InterContinental University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees. This umbrella accreditation includes all approved branch campuses of the University, including AUD operating in Dubai†.AUD is officially licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the United Arab Emirates and the DC Education Licensure Commission*. The Ministry has recognized the University’s programs in Business Administration, Information Technology, Visual Communication and Interior Design;AUD is approved to operate by the State of Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (NPEC): 2189 Northlake Parkway, Building 10, Suite 100, Tucker, Georgia, 30084-4113.
The American University in Dubai, through its School of Business Administration, has the following degree programs accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE):
- Master of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Business Administion with concentrations in Accounting, Advertising, e-Business, Finance/Banking, Management, and Marketing.
Furthermore, the University’s concentrations in Advertising (BBA / BFA) have been accredited by the International Advertising Association (IAA) in New York.
