Husayn ibn Ali

Husayn ibn Ali, or Husayn bin Ali. (various spellings exist), refers to a number of historical characters. Among the important ones:

• Husayn bin Ali (626-680), grandson of Muhammad and Islamic saint
• Sherif Hussein ibn Ali (1853-1931), sherif and king of Mecca
