The Grey Seal (also spelled Gray seal, also known as Atlantic Gray Seal), Halichoerus grypus, is found on both shores of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is a large seal of the family Phocidae or "true seals". It is the only species classified in the genus Halichoerus.

In Britain the Grey Seal is found only on western coasts. It is the largest native British mammal.
