The Great Hurricane of 1780 is considered the deadliest Atlantic storm of all time. Sweeping through the Antilles, it caused the death of 20-30,000 people (estimated). Other deadly Atlantic storms include Hurricane Mitch and the Great Galveston Hurricane.Sources
