Donald J. Carty
Donald J. Carty was a former chairman and CEO of American Airlines. He was replaced, as CEO, by Gerard Arpey and, as chairman, by Edward A. Brennan. Carty resigned, on April 24, 2003, following difficulties in reaching an agreement with unions. Before joining American Airlines he was a Vice-president at Air Canada.
