Cullman County is a
county of the
State of
Alabama. Its name is in honor of Johann G. Cullman. As of
2000 the population was 77,483. Its
county seat is
Cullman.
History
\nCullman County was established on
January 24,
1877.
Geography
\nAccording to the
U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,955
km² (755
mi²). 1,913 km² (738 mi²) of it is land and 42 km² (16 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.17% water.
