County of Milton Keynes

The county of Milton Keynes is a landlocked administrative county in England, formed from part of Buckinghamshire in 1995 by SI 1995/1769, which stated 'Milton Keynes shall cease to form part of Buckinghamshire.'

It consists of the former district of Milton Keynes, which in addition to the town itself covers Bletchley, Castlethorpe, Newport Pagnell, Stony Stratford and a fair chunk of countryside to the north of the urban area. It borders Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
