Brass band

A brass band is a musical group composed of a significant proportion of brass instruments such as trumpets, trombones, French horns, tubas, etc. The nature of the brass band makes it most suitable to open or outdoor venues such as sporting arenas and parades.

While the most strict definition of a "brass band" would require only brass instruments, most commonly brass bands have other types of instruments, such as woodwinds and drums.
