Astronomical symbols are symbols used to represent the planets, and the sun. The modern ones are -

☿	Mercury
♀	Venus
♁	Earth
♂	Mars
♃	Jupiter
♄	Saturn
♅	Uranus
♆	Neptune
♇	Pluto

It can be noted that Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus.

The Neptune sign is a trident, and the sign for Pluto derives from the initials of Percival Lowell.
